Song of the month: Same Love
A song that finds its way back onto my playlist when I need the reminder that love shouldn’t need permission.
This song has stayed with me for years: “Same Love,” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Mary Lambert. I come back to it when I need the reminder that dignity and love shouldn’t require anyone’s permission.
Music helps me find words for things that can be hard to say. To me, this song is about listening to other people’s stories and making room for them, even when their lives look different from ours. That’s why it still has a place on my playlist.
